Goldman Psychological Services is a group psychotherapy practice of warm, dedicated practitioners. In the 1970s, Dr. Judi Farber founded Gwynedd Psychological and Educational Consultants. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Dr. Sari Goldman joined and expanded the group practice with the expert guidance from Dr. Judi Farber and the assistance of her skilled associates. The practitioners at Goldman Psychological Services have been dedicated to empowering people to open their hearts to the possibilities for growth and change and to impart a sense of inner peace when encountering the everyday stressors affecting them.

  • Judith Farber, PhD

    Dr. Judith Farber is a licensed psychologist and the founder/clinical director of Gwynedd Psychological Services, a group private practice. Dr. Farber has been a respected psychologist, educator, lecturer, and clinical supervisor for over 25 years in the state of Pennsylvania. She received a Masters from Cornell University with an emphasis on nutrition and a joint Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Work from Bryn Mawr College.

    Dr. Farber has presented on couples therapy and family dynamics nationally and internationally. She was a founding faculty member at an innovative family therapy institute where she taught family therapy courses and supervised practicing clinicians. She has been a renowned contributor to “Can This Marriage Be Saved?” in Ladies Home Journal.

    She has particular expertise in the areas of child and adolescent development, school-related issues, co-parenting counseling, and couples therapy.

    Dr. Farber strives to balance a healthy work/life schedule. She enjoys a holistic approach to life including pilates, dancing, and healthy eating. She is married and has twin daughters and three baby granddaughters.

  • Sari Goldman, LCSW, Psy.D. Director - Goldman Psychological Services

    Dr. Sari Goldman, LCSW, Psy.D., is the owner and director of Goldman Psychological Services. She is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Clinical Social worker with extensive experience in connecting to children and their parents. Specifically, Dr. Sari has expertise in the psychological assessment and therapeutic treatment of pre-school and school-age children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She received her Bachelors of Arts from Oberlin College and her Masters of Social Work from University of Michigan. Dr. Sari obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. Shel excelled academically, earning her degrees with high honors. Dr. Sari has a strong commitment to honing her clinical skills by attending a myriad of conferences and workshops and reading cutting-edge articles and books, specifically related to ADHD, emotionally-focused therapy, collaborative problem solving strategies, positive parenting techniques, trauma-based approaches, social media safety, mindfulness practices, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. In addition, Sari shares her knowledge base with other professionals, parents, and students by presenting at local and national conferences on a variety of topics, including stress management for adults and children as well as parenting strategies to decrease behavioral problems in children and adolescents (e.g., with ADHD, Autism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, etc.). She completed her post-doctorate residency year at a youth center, where she became adept at administering cognitive testing and projective testing.

    Sari creatively counsels individuals, couples, and families utilizing psychodynamic, strategic family therapy, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. She believes in growth-oriented, directive therapeutic interventions that address the specific presenting concerns, such as decreasing family disagreements, encouraging better social skills, and improving the person’s overall well-being. Sari specializes in the treatment of ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, PTSD/Trauma-related disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, School Refusal/Avoidance, Social Skills training, Executive Functioning Strategies (e.g., organizing/planning/time management), and Academic Underachievement. Sari also integrates relevant empirically supported treatment techniques such as Exposure Response Prevention Therapy to treat Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, and Anxiety. She incorporates play, art, and experiential (i.e., cooperative games/sand tray) methods when providing therapy for children so that they can feel more comfortable expressing themselves. Dr. Sari has a unique talent in assisting college-aged young adults to develop concrete study skills and independent living skills to succeed in their future. She also administers and interprets comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Sari collaborates with other professionals (e.g., primary care physicians, teachers, etc.) to consult on recommendations and accommodations presented in the report.

    Dr. Sari relishes being with her two daughters and her husband. She practices self-care by cooking healthy foods, exercising indoors and outdoors, listening and playing music, and going to movies, plays, and concerts with family and friends. As a busy mom, Dr. Sari often shares with parents the idea that when being emotionally present with one’s children, parents should focus on “the QUALITY of their time together, rather than the QUANTITY of their time.”

  • Leann Trudel, Psy.D.

    Dr. Trudel received her undergraduate degree in psychology from The George Washington University in 1984, where she was a member of Psi Chi, the national psychology honor society. She received her master’s degree in applied experimental psychology from The Catholic University of America in 1986 and her doctoral degree in school psychology from Temple University in 1994. Dr. Trudel also completed a post-graduate certificate in early childhood mental health through the Widener University Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology in 2010.

    While working on her doctoral degree, Dr. Trudel worked as a research assistant to Dr. Irwin Hyman at The Center for Corporal Punishment and Alternatives in the Schools at Temple University. Dr. Trudel’s work at the Center led to her dissertation, which explored the relationship between corporal punishment at school and the subsequent development of trauma disorders in children.

    Dr. Trudel’s predoctoral internship was spent at Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children, an internationally recognized children’s hospital, in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Trudel worked in the outpatient psychology department of the hospital performing assessments and therapy, as well as consultation with hospital staff.

    Since receiving her doctoral degree in 1994, Dr. Trudel has worked in a variety of child and adolescent focused settings including several school districts, private practices, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and a child guidance clinic. She has served as a consulting psychologist to numerous charter schools in the city of Philadelphia and has also served as a consulting psychologist for an Early Intervention Center in Delaware. Dr. Trudel is a licensed psychologist, as well as a certified school psychologist. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the Maryland School Psychologists’ Association and The National Register of Health Service Psychologists.

    While Dr. Trudel’s area of expertise includes the evaluation of autism, ADHD, executive functioning, learning disabilities, and psychological/emotional disorders, she also enjoys working with children and adolescents in therapy. Dr. Trudel believes strongly in the power of early intervention and takes a developmental approach to working with clients as she believes that we all are constantly growing, shifting, developing and transforming.

  • Megan Murphy MS, LPC

    Megan obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts with a concentration in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology from Holy Family University. Megan also received her Master’s in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Holy Family University .

    Megan specializes in connecting with children through young adulthood struggling with anxiety disorders, stress management, restrictive eating, depression, and low self-esteem. Megan has experience working with the at risk youth and their families providing early intervention care. Megan is trained in a combination of treatment modalities including :Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Early Intervention Prevention. Megan believes that the foundation of counseling starts with a strong therapeutic rapport. She works to create a non-judgmental, safe space where they can explore, problem solve, ask questions, and learn about themselves while building confidence and resiliency to achieve emotional stability. Megan assists clients in identifying unsettling thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are causing difficulties and helps clients problem solve in order to reach their goals. Megan’s passion is being able to empower clients to develop a positive sense of self, engage in healthy decision making skills, and watching her clients restore excitement and motivation for their future . Outside of the office, Megan enjoys relaxing with family and friends, living an active life style, and spending time at the beach .

  • Bridget Welsh, MS, NCC: Associate Therapist

    Bridget Welsh, MS, NCC: Associate Therapist

    Bridget received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Saint Joseph’s University and completed her Master’s of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College with a Concentration in Children and Adolescents as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

    Bridget specializes in counseling and supporting children and adolescents who are dealing with ADHD, ASD, Generalized Anxiety Disorders, PTSD/Trauma related disorders, Emotional dysregulation, and Depressive Disorders. She enjoys helping parents and families to overcome and cope with behavioral problems such as defiance, aggression, and tantrums. She believes that parents have the power to motivate and support their children and teens as they develop their identity and purpose. She is trained in and utilizes a combination of modalities such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to fit the needs of each particular client.

    Bridget has a particular interest in working with teens and young adults dealing with issues relating to anxiety, relationships, developing sense of self, and independence. Bridget creatively and collaboratively develops treatment plans that include effective strategies to create positive change and growth. Her passion is empowering teens to make effective choices, build confidence, resilience, and the belief that they are worthy!

    Outside of the office, Bridget loves spending time with her young daughter and husband at home. She loves to express herself and practice self-care through her hobbies of photography, journaling, and gardening.

  • Sharon Rosenthal Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, NCC

    My favorite part of helping people is collaborating with my clients. I work together with kids, teens and adults to help them reach their goals, get some relief and learn new ways to cope. As a licensed professional counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor, my approach is both nurturing and strengths-based. I believe that every person is unique and has the ability to cope and heal.

    As your therapist, I will help you strategize to come up with treatment goals and offer warm support as we help get you there. In doing so, I use a cognitive behavioral approach, as well as solutions-focused therapy and narrative therapy. I am also a Level 2-trained IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapist and am able to support clients who have experienced trauma.

    I began my career as a mobile therapist for kids and teenagers and spent many years as an outpatient therapist in the mental health field. Before becoming a therapist, I was an entertainment writer for kids' publications, including Fox Kids, Girls' Life magazine and PBS Kids. My TV-writing career included episodes of “Handy Manny" and "HIgglytown Heroes" for The Disney Channel. If you can't tell, I truly have a passion for children.

    These days, I spend my time supporting kids, teens and adults in managing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, trauma, parenting issues and family conflict.

  • Brooke Asbury, MA

    I am a versatile psychotherapist that has been practicing therapy in a variety of settings for about 10 years. After receiving my Masters of Arts in clinical mental health counseling from Virginia Tech, I have counseled adolescents and their parents in both home and community settings. I also have experience with supporting elementary school aged students in a school environment. Additionally, I have experience with helping adolescents navigate the juvenile detention system as well as providing care for adolescents and adults in a higher level of care partial hospital program. These varied opportunities have informed my treatment of individuals and families at different stages of a person's development. I specifically have expertise in treatment for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, executive functioning skills, borderline personality disorder, and suicidal thoughts.

    I am passionate about working with teens and young adults- they are the future! By using my strength-based techniques, cognitive behavioral strategies, and positive talk therapy techniques combined with my direct and supportive nature I can help them find their unique voices. I also enjoy supporting parents with developing parenting strategies such as collaborative problem solving. Furthermore, I find that group therapy can be a meaningful, effective treatment modality to foster one's growth. Everyone seeks to discover their personal purpose in life; my purpose is helping others find meaning in their lives.

  • Sheree Smith-Heisey MSW, LCSW

  • Jared Mondelli, MA, Psy.D

    Dr. Mondelli received his Bachelor’s of Science from La Salle University, as well as completing additional coursework in undergraduate Psychology at Temple University. He received his Master’s of Arts in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in 2010, and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in 2018.

    Dr. Mondelli’s predoctoral training included work in settings including the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis Consultation Center, Chestnut Hill College Psychological Services Clinic, Beechwood NeuroRehab, and Clinical Neuropsychology Associates. His predoctoral internship was completed at Beechwood NeuroRehab, with additional postdoctoral experience at Neurodevelopmental Assessment and Consulting. These experiences have included work in assessment and evaluation, individual and group therapy. Since receiving his doctoral degree in 2018, Dr. Mondelli has also worked in settings including community mental health, skilled nursing and rehabilitation settings, and in private practices. Dr. Mondelli is a licensed clinical psychologist. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.

    Dr. Mondelli utilizes a collaborative and integrative approach in his work. While his primary areas of focus at Goldman Psychological Services includes primarily psychological and psychoeducational assessment and evaluation of executive functioning concerns, ADHD, academic difficulties, and psychological/emotional disorders; he also enjoys working with adolescents and adults utilizing modalities such as psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and integrative therapy.

  • Candace Stevens, LPC
